I very much like the work of Australian cartoonist and illustrator Evie Cahir. Her drawings are clear and illustrative but the narrative in her comics is often more implicit – a collection of collaged moments and details. There’s a nice tension in that you can always tell what the individual drawings are of but the meaning of the page might be more opaque. The pages are clearly composed as a whole, and they have a palpable sense of mood.
