From a collaboration with Derik Badman for an anthology. I gave Derik words from my Comics Workbook pages and pictures from when I lived in Tunisia in Summer 2012. He fed them into his automatic comics generator (random decisions on image, text, sequence, etc) and sent me back 17 pages. Then I chose 8 pages that I thought worked particularly well and redrew them, trying to deviate as minimally as possible from what Derik had ‘written,’ though I did tweak a few things.
