Comics Workbook Magazine #8 is available now from Copacetic Comics.

This issue features an interview with Sanita Muižniece and David Schilter of kuš! by Laila Milevski and a cover photo by Zach Mason.

We also have the essay Alone in a Crowd: A Close Look at Julie Doucet’s “The Double” by Daryl Seitchik, an interview with GG by Jamie McMorrow, a digital coloring guide by Pete Toms, and a discussion of the magazine’s past, present, and future by editors Andrew White and Zach Mason.

Maybe everyone who follows me on here has already seen the latest issue of Comics Workbook Magazine. As noted above, it includes a conversation between me and co-editor Zach Mason, which might seem like (and could well be) a very self-indulgent thing to do. We hoped that it would be interesting discuss some of the things we think about as we put the magazine together, and perhaps also educational to anyone who might like to do something like this in the future.

The other articles are really good; Daryl’s article is one of my favorite pieces of comics criticism this year. I’m happy that we snagged the first interview (I think?) with the mysterious GG.

We already have most of the content for #9 turned in, so hopefully we can get it out fairly soon!
