I want to say a few words about Christina Tran’s It’s Ok That It’s Not Ok. I was lucky to talk with Christina as she was starting to work on this book and see several drafts of it. She recently sent me a print version of the first chapter. It came out really well.

Just look at this page, which is my favorite from the first chapter:

There are several pages like this throughout the story. Pages that are formally inventive but still narratively compelling. The book breaks down some simple ideas in a thorough, creative way. It’s emotionally sure of itself. Christina serializing the story here. You should read it.
