The Comics Journal has an interview up today with Swiss cartoonist Frederik Peeters, who is one of my favorite cartoonists. The interview focuses mostly on Sandcastle (that’s a page from it here), which will apparently be published in English very soon. I’d encourage everyone to pick it up. Peeters is a great storyteller and I find his drawing style very compelling. One of the interesting things about Sandcastle in particular is that it uses a 9 panel grid (broken occasionally, but not that often) very effectively…paging Frank Santoro!
