This is a rejected submission for š! #16, ‘Villages.’ The prompt asked for a story about a village, with that village’s name and geographic coordinates as the title.
I’m not sure how I feel about this one overall…I might have rejected it too! But I’d definitely like to continue working with some of the visual techniques here. I did each color (green, purple, red) on a separate layer of tracing paper and then added/removed layers and rearranged images as felt necessary when sequencing the final story. It was a fun process.
