I’m really excited to be part of the 2015 lineup for Ley Lines, “a quarterly publication dedicated to exploring the intersection of comics and the various fields of art & culture that inspire us.” The series is co-published by Grindstone Comics and Czap Books. Ley Lines #1 by Annie Mok was really good and I’m so excited to read the upcoming issues by Warren Craghead, Cathy G. Johnson, and Erin Curry. This is a great concept featured some of my very favorite artists! I’m so flattered to be involved! It’s hard not to sound hyperbolic!
My contribution isn’t entirely done yet but that’s a tentative version of the first page above. The comic is called For Lives and it centers around Picasso’s Portrait of Gertrude Stein.
