Yearly 2023 is available for preorder. I need to finish it! I’m close, just need to add a final few touches. Maybe your orders will help motivate me to do so.
This issue is in the same format as last year, 5.25 x 8 and full color and filled with a few different stories. I hope to ship out preorders by mid-August. You can see a few preview pages at the end of this post.
I’ve also heavily discounted nearly all the comics in my shop, so maybe you’ll consider grabbing a few other comics alongside the new Yearly. I need to clear out some space! There was a period several years ago where I was a little overambitious in terms of how many comics I printed!
What else is going on? I keep meaning to prioritize posting on this site over social media, and I certainly don’t do the latter that often, but it remains easier to post a quick photo on Instagram than to sit down and write something of substance here. I’m continuing to work on my attention span and ability to focus, as most of us are.
Together & Apart was successfully funded, and I understand it will be available by this fall. I expect to start working on the custom drawings and other rewards soon, now that the books are printed. I’m continuing to serialize my Italo Calvino project, now titled Under False Pretenses, every month. I spent several weeks this spring making some fonts from my handwriting, because lettering is the one aspect of comics that gives me some wrist/arm pain (can you spot what is or isn’t handlettered in the new Yearly?).
