I like these landscape drawings by Sylvia Plimack Mangold. They remind me a little of Oliver East’s work. Lately I’ve been trying to expand my visual vocabulary, which draws largely on comics, by looking at a little more fine art.

Given certain conflicts of interest, I didn’t want to actually enter the Comics Workbook Composition Competition. However, I think that comics could do with a bit more healthy competition and I didn’t want to miss out…so consider this an official non-entry to the competition. I hope you like it.
