Pleased with this series from Comics Workbook, so I’m putting it together as one post. For each of the ‘variation’ sets I’ve done like this, I draw the abstract color layer first and try not to think about any kind of story. Then make comics to fit it. It’s a fun/interesting challenge.

Another redraw…the final page of Blutch’s Vitesse Moderne. His loose and fluid brushwork is really difficult to imitate, especially because I’m pretty sure I drew smaller than he draws his originals.
